((January 1, Midnight, subway station and subway. Mainly for the adults. Kind of planning for the subway to breakdown, FYI so that the characters will have no choice but to interact with one another.)) Helga scowled as she walked to the subway. She was bundled up tighly in a long black leather coat with a thick lineing. Her upper face was wrapped in a scarf and on her hands were leather gloves.
She had had a bad day. Been turned away from two diffrent jobs for not putting down any referances. Which she couldn't do because she didn't have any memory of having those referances. "Damn! Damn! Damn!" She muttered scanning her card into the toll machine. She was almost out of money on her card and she needed a job soon.
She walked a down the tunnel and waited for the subway. With her luck so far it would be late, and she'd have to wait her alone in the semi-darkness.

"Oh dear, this is just perfect." Franny muttered as she adjusted her coat and lifted her Styrofoam coffee cup in her hands and lifted it to her lips as she waited for the subway. Thanks to the school meeting going so long, she was late. Heavens knows, what trouble Wilbur had gotten into now.

Gaston, now known as Gavin, walked down the steps to the subway system. He was dressed in his usual outfit of tight red t-shirt, black jeans, black motorcycle boots and a leather jacket. He had kept his hair in it's usual ponytail.
Gaston hated the subway. It was dark, and cramped, and smelled awful. But because he had yet to learn how to drive and didn't really like taxis he had no choice.
He had just gotten back from a rather wild party and was a bit tipsy. Though he had still drunk five guys under the table. He gave the toll some coins and waited in the subway tunnle.

Hercules, or Henry as he was called now, was very bundled up. He had a thick orange parka on, a wool cap, gloves, a scarf, and snow boots. Greece had never been this cold, and it seemed everytime he stepped outside his apartment he'd instanly freeze if he didn't have atleast three layers of clothing on.
He fumbled with his subway card, but was able to get it to take his money. At least it would be warmer in the car, though no less fragrant. Herc shivered slightly while waiting for the others for the train.

"Certainly is cold," Franny said turning to Hercules. "Who would have thought that New York would get this freezing..." she said, taking another sip of her warm tea. At least she wasn't allow when waiting for the subway, that would be bad.

Aladdin, commonly known as Ali Ababwa, scanned his subway card in the strange machine and waited to board the train. New York was so…weird—and that’s saying a lot for a guy who was married to a Princess and was best friends with a monkey and a Genie. Of course he had no idea where said friends were, which made things difficult, but he’d adjusted pretty well to this new life for the most part. It kinda helped that Genie was making random references here and there to stuff in this world, which allowed him to somewhat understand the purpose of foreign objects not available in Agrabah such as cars and televisions. The big city atmosphere reminded him of Agrabah—minus most of the modern comforts and the snow. He’d seen snow before, having been to the Frozen North plenty of times, but he wasn’t used to seeing it on a daily basis, having lived in the desert for much of his life.
He walked over to the waiting rea holding a newspaper and a cup of coffee he’d brewed at home. He could have gotten some from some place called Starbucks, but even here he was careful with his money. He’d become an archaeologist so that he’d be able to continue having adventures, and he’d also taken a job as a history teacher at a local high school. It wasn’t at all like his previous lifestyle, but he got by. If there was one thing he was happy about, it was that being transported here delayed his becoming Sultan, whenever that would be. He’d always been anxious about it, ever since he’d realized that by marrying Jasmine he would become Agrabah’s next Sultan. He’d do his best of course but he wasn’t convinced that his best would be enough. It also didn’t help that most of the people, including Razoul, the Captain of the Royal Guard, still viewed him as a street rat.
But none of that really mattered right now. Now he had to get to work. He took a sip of his coffee, which helped to warm him up a bit, as he began reading the paper. There were quite a few other people waiting for the subway, none of whom he recognized, as New York was a fairly big place. Then again so was Agrabah, and there he knew the faces of a lot of the people, as he had dwelt among them for almost eighteen years. He knew them but they’d never known him. However that was all in the past. For better or for worse, this seemed to be his future.
He heard a dark-haired woman and a redheaded man conversing nearby, commenting on how cold it was this morning. He smiled and joined in, agreeing with both of them, "You can say that again. Where I grew up it was always really hot so I don't think I'll ever get used to these winters." He zipped up his dark coat a bit higher and tucked the newspaper under his arm.

Franny smiled as the new man joined the group. She was just glad to be where so many people...at least the ones that she met were nice and friendly. Some of them on the other hand were not so nice. "I know what you mean, where I'm from we only get a little rain and a little snow in late December but it has never been this cold." she took another sip of her drink. Letting the warm drink fill her up.
So far she was not used to New York, unlike the future things were more modern and while she had gotten used to those things as a child, she was so used to futuristic technology that she had gotten rather fond of it.
it was like trying to ride a bike again. She would just have to keep trying.

"It's sunny year round where I come from." Hercules said to the two dark haired strangers. "I've only seen snow before a handful of times in my life." He recalled the time that the Trickster God Loki had tricked him into become the Norse God of Thunder in order to free the Ice Giants. He shived a bit remembering how cold it had been standing in three feet of snow in a chiton and sandles. At least here he could buy things so that he was able to stay moderatly warm.

“Where I come from it never snowed.” Well there was this one time with Frigeed… he thought, recalling the Ice Ifrit he and his friends had encountered in the Frozen North. They couldn’t stop him from following them back to Agrabah, and the being had caused it to snow. Things eventually got out of hand and with the help of his friends Aladdin put a stop to the Ifrit’s plans. He nodded at the redheaded man’s comment. “Same here. It never so much as rains back home.” He didn’t mention Agrabah because apparently it didn’t even exist. He’d given up asking people if they knew where it was a long time ago. The only answer he’d gotten was a crazy look or a snide comment.

"I'm used to the weather." Helga said joining in on the conversation. "Where I grew up it snowed for nine months and rained buckets the other three. It's the noise and dirt that needs getting used to." She looked down at her shoes, which were already covered with muck and grime. And she had only walked a block.

Aladdin nodded over at the blonde woman with a smile. "The city never really sleeps, does it? I grew up in a large city but it wasn't nearly as big as this..." he explained. Underground trains, skyscrapers--all new and amazing things he couldn't have dreamed of. Looking out over the city at night when he was a boy, he'd thought that Agrabah had been so large and vast. It made him feel awfully small. It didn't help that he'd been completely alone in the world for so long. It almost felt that way now...but he'd survived. He'd spent almost thirteen years learning to take care of himself, so it wasn't too terribly difficult to adjust, especially since he recognized some of the new devices and inventions from Genie's antics.
