History: Gay was born to a couple of purebred Dalmatians, as the oldest in a litter of 7. "The Lucky Sevens" they were called, with Gay being called the luckiest of all (since she was the first to arrive). As time went on and the puppies grew a little older, they were all sold off to different homes. But within the first weeks of being in her new home, Gay’s pet developed an allergy to the dog, and she had to be taken to the pound. There, she was bought up by Horace and Jasper Baddun, brought to Hell Hall, and forced to stay there with 98 other Dalmatian puppies. But, there was a small group of house puppies, she noticed, that weren’t strays. The one that caught her eye the most was a small one with black ears and spots that formed a horseshoe on his back. Upon talking to him, she found out that his name was Lucky. He reminded her of her in a couple of ways; if not for the luckiness, than for the somewhat bashful attitude.
Soon, the puppies were rescued from Cruella DeVil by none other than the biological parents of Lucky and his siblings, Dalmatian couple Pongo and Perdita. After being brought back to the flat where Roger and Anita Radcliffe lived, Gay enjoyed a nice stay there. Soon, though, the family had to pack up and leave, moving out to a farm in the States where they could all live freely and away from Cruella DeVil.
But one morning, Gay awoke to find that she was no longer a little Dalmatian puppy with a nice blue collar around her neck. Instead, she was in human clothing, and she was turned into a human. She hung out with the street kids for a little bit, picking up some tricks of the trade. However, tdhe police quickly arrested her and brought her to an orphanage. Not knowing what else to make of her life, she enrolled in the local high school and found work at a local pet shop.
Sample Post:
It was another early morning at the orphanage. Gay, now known as Gabrielle or “Gabi”, was on the bus ride to school. Her first day of school in Miami. Boy was she nervous. She was such a shy bookworm that she didn’t think that anybody would like her. As the big yellow vehicle bumped along the road, Gabi pulled a book out of her bag; “Watership Down” by Richard Adams.
Gabi smiled at the cover of the thick book; a lone brown rabbit sitting by the white fence of an empty field. Since learning how to read, she had scoured every secondhand bookstore she could find, until she found a cheap-as-dirt copy. Using the smuggling skills that the street kids had taught her, she was able to steal it and keep it for herself.
Opening the book where the page had been dog-eared, Gabi stared down at where she left off- the tale of El-Ahrairah, the rabbits’ fictional hero, and how he attempted to steal all of the lettuces from King Darzin’s garden with his best friend, Rabscuttle. Oh, how she wished she was the Prince With A Thousand Enemies right now…
((You might want to know a couple of things:
1. Prince Of A Thousand Enemies is what El-Ahrairah's name translates from Lapine, the rabbit language. Watership Down is probably my most faaaaavorite novel of all time. <3
2. I can actually see Gabi getting along really well with Louise and Nina for some reason. XD
3. Yes, she is Scott's pet shop buddy. ))
