Quote: Okay, Shanti, lets try to be sensible about this... you're in a weird new world with no logical explanation as to why... you can figure this out, you always figure it out!
Disney Name: Shanti
Human Name: Shanti
Age: 14
Human Hair Color: Black
Human Eye Color: dark brown
Human Appearance: Dark tanned skin, blackish brown hair, large, light brown eyes.
Disney Character Picture:
Human Form Picture:
Celebrity Face Claim: Melinda Shankar
Personality: (Haven’t seen the 2nd movie in awhile so this all from memory) Pretty Type-A. In other words she likes to follow the rules and be good, but she DOES like to have fun, but doesn't like to break rules while doing it. She is also really practical and strict. Mowgli helped her loosen up after their adventure in the jungle, and she became not so high strung and strict. Turning human really shook her, because Shanti has always liked to use logic to figure things out, but the fact that she was turned real had none. That being said, she convinces herself her old life was all just a dream so she doesn't completely lose her mind. And yet, she still holds out hope that it wasn't, and that Mowgli will appear and help her figure out how to get back. Plus without Mowgli she reverted back to her original rule following, good girl self.
Likes: Order, Mowgli, having (organized) fun, rules, using logic
Dislikes: Chaos, the jungle (it was a fear that was conquered but she still doesn't like it), breaking the rules, when people don't listen to her, tigers
Occupation: Student
History: Shanti met Mowgli while she was fetching water for her family one day. They instantly had a connection and Shanti purposefully dropped the water to get Mowgli to follow her to the village, where he was immediately welcomed into their family. After that they (along with their little friend Ranjan) were inseparable. They spent almost everyday together in the village whether it was doing their chores together or making up fun games to keep themselves occupied. Their peaceful life was interrupted as Shere Kahn made an appearance in her village along with a bear names Baloo. After she warned the other villagers of the presence of a wild animal things went into chaos, in which begrudgingly followed Mowgli and Baloo in the jungle to make sure Mowgli was safe. After almost getting eaten by Kaa and being saved by Ranjan, Shanti finally found them. Only to be attacked by Baloo as a prank played my Mowgli. Furious she stormed off, only to be followed my Mowgli. Once he apologizes, the make up but then are found by Shere Kahn. A chase ensues that leads to an ancient temple where Shanti, Baloo, and Mowgli defeat Shere Kahn once and for all. They are soon found by Ranjan’s parents and Shanti’s mother. In the end everyone realizes that the jungle is a part of Mowgli and Shanti has conquered her fear of the jungle.
After that things went back to normal, with the exception of the frequent trips to the jungle to see Mowgli’s friends. Mowgli and Shanti grew closer as she learned to let loose a little bit. In one of their trips to the jungle, Shanti, Mowgli, Baloo, and Ranjan were playing a game of hide and seek when Shanti thought she had found the perfect place to hid up in a tree. Her game was cut short when she stopped paying attention for a few seconds and lost her balance. She fell from the tree, and just when she expected to hit the ground painfully, there was a flash of bright white light and she awoke in ‘her’ bed. She was so confused that for a second she thought she died. Until her new parents burst into her room to make sure she got ready for school on time. She soon realized that she was very much alive and stuck in this strange new world. With a new (strict) family and absolutely no reason as to why. At first she was a wreck, not knowing what to do, or who to turn to. She tried telling her ‘parents’, but they told her she was only dreaming. She didn’t believe it, but when they started telling her enough it became hard for her to deny it herself. Once she herself was convinced it was only a dream, she stopped freaking out so much, but in the back of her mind she knew it was all too real to be a dream.
Sample Post:
Oh this is the perfect spot to hide. She thought. Mowgli will never find me here. Besides, he’s not that great of a tree climber anyways.
In her excited thoughts of winning their current game of hide and seek, she became distracted. Lost in her own thoughts she didn’t realize that her foot had slipped from the branch it was on until it was too late. She cursed at herself for not paying attention in such a dangerous situation and let out a terrified shriek. She got closer and closer to the ground as she tightly shut her eyes, bracing herself for impact. But it never came. Instead she found herself sitting in a bed that most certainly wasn’t her own. She blinked, confused as to just what happened.
Am I dead? She asked herself. That can’t be right though, the tree wasn’t even that high, not enough to kill me anyways.
But if she wasn’t dead, then what? Nothing else seemed plausible.
“Shanti, what are you doing still in bed, you need to get ready for school, your brothers are already downstairs eating breakfast.” She heard someone say. She looked up to find a slightly irritated woman standing in her doorway.
“Huh? I-I don’t have an brothers.. Who… who are you?” She asked blinking in confusion.
“Dear, are you feeling alright?” She asked rushing over to her daughters bedside feeling her forehead with the back of her hand. “ I’m your mother.” She said as if it were the simplest fact in the world.
“M-Mother?” She asked.
Her mother seemed to thinks eh was trying to get out of going to school and shook her head.
“Nice try, Shanti. But you are going to school now get dressed, or you’ll be late.”
Her mother left the room, and she got out of her bed.
Okay, what the heck is going on here? she asked herself.
Other Notes: I’d really like her to find someone (whether it be a friend or love interest) to help her let loose like Mowgli did.
